Gijs has a background in advanced planning and scheduling, previously being employed at a lead supplier of scheduling solutions for the fuel distribution market. He studied Econometrics and Mathematical Economics at Tilburg university.

In his spare time Gijs is a sports enthusiast - running and cycling during winter time and climbing the summits of the Alps during summer time.
